Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning news anchor and the crime reporter at WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting regarding the police's lenient approach to DUI cases resulted in the launch of a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on the instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell has worked at Charleston reporting and co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving to Access Hollywood where she is currently a co-anchor and correspondent on weekends. O'Dell, as well as anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
